Career Opportunities:

Chief Financial Officer

Sentry Bank is looking for a Chief Financial Officer. Primary responsibilities of this position include managing the Bank’s accounting, financial and investment functions. Prepares, presents, and interprets financial reports to management, directors, and government agencies. Counsel management on fiscal control and profitability. Serves as the Bank’s Internal Auditor and Board Secretary. Manage Staff Accountant and two Bookkeepers.

Essential Job Duties:

Accounting/Financial Management

  • Oversees preparation of all financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, which accurately reflect the financial condition the bank. Oversees reconciliation of multiple balance sheet accounts, including, but not limited to, prepaids, life insurance assets and accruals.
  • Responsible for completion of all required regulatory reports, including, but not limited to, quarterly call reports, FR2900, etc.
  • Manages development of bank’s annual budget, in conjunction with managers. Regularly analyzes bank performance compared to budget. Provides detailed reports of that analysis to management and Board.
  • Analyzes bank performance to pinpoint opportunities for increased efficiency and improved profitability
  • Develops and implements bank’s plans and policies related to activities of a financial nature.
  • Oversees fixed asset accounting system.
  • Meet with vendors and negotiate contracts.
  • Approve all outgoing wires.
  • Evaluates new products and service for profitability.
  • Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable process.


Asset/Liability Management

  • Manages Bank’s cash position. Determines Bank’s cash investment strategies. Monitors Bank’s liquidity position and cash needs.
  • Manages bank’s investment portfolio. Initiates sales, purchases of securities. Monitors quality, liquidity, profitability of investment portfolio in accordance with existing bank policies.
  • Develops and implements bank’s investment policy and liquidity plan balancing risk, return, and liquidity needs.
  • Participate in monthly ALCO meetings.
  • Manages internal rates.


Risk Management

  • Serves as Bank’s Internal Auditor
  • Periodic responsibilities include preparing for FDIC and OCC examinations and the annual Director’s examination.


Employee Management

  • Supervise Staff Accountant and Bookkeepers (2)


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance/accounting required
  • 5-10 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or banking required
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • CPA licensure preferred
Commercial Loan Officer – Downtown St. Cloud

Sentry Bank is looking for an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to be responsible for new and existing commercial accounts at our Downtown St. Cloud location. Someone who has a positive attitude, likes building relationships, people-oriented, and has energy to go out and get business.

Essential Job Duties:

Sales

  • Develop and manage commercial account relationships
  • Solicit for new business and interview applicants
  • Communicate with customers throughout application and loan process
  • Cross sell Bank products and services

Portfolio Management

  • Collect and analyze financial and related data to establish creditworthiness
  • Monitor customer’s account relationships through financial analysis and ongoing customer contact to increase retention and satisfaction, while minimizing risk
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with referral sources
  • Manage a large commercial portfolio with minimal delinquency and runoff

Credit Administration

  • Able to handle multiple, complex transactions at a time
  • Structure, coordinate, and underwrite all loans
  • Handle new loan requests in conjunction with governmental loan programs

Community Involvement

  • Maintain through active participation, professional and community relationships, increasing the Bank’s visibility within the marketplace
  • Keep current and maintain knowledge of changes in regulatory environment pertaining to commercial lending

Qualifications:

Must possess a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field and/or experience in the duties listed above. 5+ years of Commercial Lending experience required! This position requires strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Customer Service Representative Float

Sentry Bank is looking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative to float between the branches (St. Joseph, 2 St. Cloud Branches, and St. Stephen).

Hours will be Monday-Friday, sometime between 8:15am-4:15pm. May occasionally need to open (7:30am) or close until (5:30pm). Will include 1-2 Saturday mornings a month.

Summary:

The Float Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, opening and closing accounts, understand and sell products and services, and learn a variety of different duties to help when they go to all the branches.

Essential Functions:

  • Open, service, and revise new and existing deposit accounts, HSA, IRA, and CDs.
  • Maintaining customer accounts and files
  • Assist on the teller line
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding account information, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Process wire transfers
  • Order, activate, and cancel debit cards
  • Balance the vault and coin machine daily
  • Help customers with cash/deposit transactions
  • Provide excellent service by building relationships with every customer
  • Inform customers of Bank products and services to meet their needs
  • Perform opening/closing duties occasionally
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of banking experience required
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
  • Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Customer Service Representative/Graphic Design

Sentry Bank is looking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative/Graphic Designer to work at our St. Cloud Downtown Branch.

Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:15am-4:15pm. Will include 1 Saturday morning a month.

Summary:

The Float Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, opening and closing accounts, understand and sell products and services, and learn a variety of different duties to help when they go to all the branches. If interested and experienced, this individual could also do Graphic Design for us.

  • Work with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Comply with all bank policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of banking experience required
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
  • Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
