Career Opportunities:

Commercial Loan Officer

Sentry Bank is looking for an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to be responsible for new and existing commercial accounts at our St. Cloud location. Someone who has a positive attitude, likes building relationships, people-oriented, and has energy to go out and get business.

Essential Job Duties:

Sales

  • Develop and manage commercial account relationships
  • Solicit for new business and interview applicants
  • Communicate with customers throughout application and loan process
  • Cross sell Bank products and services

Portfolio Management

  • Collect and analyze financial and related data to establish creditworthiness
  • Monitor customer’s account relationships through financial analysis and ongoing customer contact to increase retention and satisfaction, while minimizing risk
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with referral sources
  • Manage a large commercial portfolio with minimal delinquency and runoff

Credit Administration

  • Able to handle multiple, complex transactions at a time
  • Structure, coordinate, and underwrite all loans
  • Handle new loan requests in conjunction with governmental loan programs

Community Involvement

  • Maintain through active participation, professional and community relationships, increasing the Bank’s visibility within the marketplace
  • Keep current and maintain knowledge of changes in regulatory environment pertaining to commercial lending

 Qualifications:

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field and/or experience in the duties listed above. 5+ years of Commercial Lending experience required! This position requires strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Full-Time Teller – St. Joseph

Hours will be Monday-Friday, sometime between 7:30am-5:30pm. Will include 2-3 Saturday mornings a month.

Summary:

Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient transaction processing.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Receive checking and saving deposits and withdrawals, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts
  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding account information, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies
  • Issue cashier’s checks
  • Accept loan payments, verify payment amount and issue receipts
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous banking experience a plus!
  • Customer service & cash handling experience
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
  • Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Administrative/Executive Assistant – St. Joseph

Hours will be Monday-Friday, between 8:00am-4:30pm.

Summary:

The administrative/executive assistant will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate departments, managing business related tasks for the President, and assisting with other clerical duties in the office.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Greet and guide visitors upon entering the bank
  • Answer customer questions regarding account balance, bank services, bookkeeping, etc.
  • Act as a point of contact among officers, employees, and other external contacts
  • Manage business related tasks and calendar for the President
  • Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
  • Organize and maintain the office filing system
  • Open and distribute general company mail
  • Enter wire transfers in log and verify
  • Upload loan proposals during the month and send to Loan Committee
  • Assist with clerical needs of the officers
  • Coordinate and manage office services, such as equipment maintenance and supplies
  • Prepare monthly board meeting packet information and meeting minutes
  • Prepare for board meetings, order lunch, set-up and clean up room
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong communication and phone skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to create a positive impression of the bank while responding to customers either by phone or in person

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months minimum of administrative, customer service, or reception experience preferred
Part-Time Teller – St. Cloud West/Float

Hours would be 20-25/week and can be flexible, prefer some availability afternoons (until 5:30pm) and ability to cover vacation time. This person would be trained as a float, which would have the ability to work at multiple locations. Plus 2-3 Saturday mornings a month.
